Hello world:
I'm a physician who cares deeply about improving the state of health care in America. In my 35 years experience in both the private and public health sectors of medicine, I have seen it all....the good, the bad, and the "dark side" where seduction, corruption, and special interests thrive!!
In my medical mystery thriller series, I write novels about my experiences. Novels that readers have labeled "faction." Please visit my web site at www.michaelrushnakbooks.com
My first novel TERMINAL NEGLECT was endorsed by NY Times best selling author, Michael Palmer. My 2nd book RUN FROM EVIL is in final editing. I'm writing my 3rd novel now--called DENIED.
Join me on this blog as I have strong feelings about the state of health care in America.
Michael Rushnak, M.D.

Conflicts of interests, corruption, and seduction creep into healthcare when the public good is subverted to enhance the profits of a few.
ReplyDeleteToday's Wall Street Journal Headline---The Myth of Prevention--does a disservice to the proven value of prevention of illness.
ReplyDeleteThere is no "myth of prevention" Lifestyle changes do work to prevent illness -will save all of us tons of money...so why confuse the issue?
ReplyDeleteARE THEY ANY SUPPORTERS OF THE PREVENTION OF ILLNESS OUT THERE? I'D LIKE TO RECEIVE YOUR COMMENTS ON MY RECENT STATEMENTS.

President Obama is committed to health care reform. We need it but physicians, nurses, PA's, NP's, and the public need to lead the way NOT politicians and special interest groups.
ReplyDeleteThe public working with their doctors needs to do whats right for the American people in healthcare.
ReplyDeleteI want to thank Gritty from "No Tea 4 Me" for his strong support of HC reform. To reduce the gap in understanding the real story of why we need healthcare reform, I believe we need to have a doctor and a nurse appear on a national cable TV show as expert guests so they can articulate with passion and facts why we need realistic HC reform NOW.
ReplyDeleteAs a physician who swore the Hippocratic Oath, I feel it is my solemn duty to speak out in favor of saving lives through the adoption of universal cost effective, quality health care. The American people are good and decent folks. I believe they want "common sense" solutions to be applied to our fragmented & broken HC "system" that costs way too much, doesn't cover all hard working citizens, and where there are still correctable gaps in the quality of care we all receive.
Join us in our fight against special interests that have corrupted our health care. Let's unite as Americans around a HC plan that will lead to better days ahead for ALL of our citizens.
